The Friends’ BookShop was founded by energetic volunteers in 1993 who were looking for a way to raise funds for the Library and serve the community. Our community continues to generously donate an amazing number of books and other materials which are sorted, priced and then sold back to the community at very reasonable prices. Our large wooden donation box is right inside the Library. However, if the donated book is needed for the stacks in the Library it lands there first. BookShop sales generate between $90,000 and $100,000 per year allowing us to help the Library fund programs services and new books.
The Friends’ BookShop sells a variety of used books including hardcover current bestsellers, paperbacks, classic literature and collectible books. Many genres are available including mysteries, children’s books, romances, home and garden, cookbooks, textbooks, history, health and fitness as well as DVDs, CDs and audio books.
As the BookShop celebrates its 32nd anniversary, we would like to encourage you to become a Friend of the Corona Public Library. Check out the membership tab on this website.
